The BLET General Committee was formed in 1987. Prior to that the members on NJT were part of the Conrail General Committee. There are now close to 400 Engineers working on New Jersey Transit with new training classes on the way. The continued expansion of New Jersey Transit is creating more work opportunities for Locomotive Engineers.
